STYLE SNOZZE IS A GRAFFITI ARTIST MALAYSIA!

Mohd Mahfudz Bin Abd Rashid was born in January 20 (1988). He was born in Hospital Tawakal and grew up in Kuala Lumpur. When Mahfudz turned seven, his parents realized he had talent in arts when the saw him drawing. As he reached the age of eight, he migrated to the United Kingdom for two years and came back to Malaysia at age of 10. He continued in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Batu Muda.

At the age of 16, he started approaching Graffiti Art. The start of his graffiti career by sketching on the walls of his house and school with only crayons and water color. He carried on his graffiti journey until his first attempt in vandalism on December 2004, at a sewage. In the year 2006, he was introduced to an art institute situated in Taman Melawati called Malaysian Institute Of Art by his mother. Mid 2006, he was made known to a street art group called “KAMI”.

“KAMI” originated from a bunch of 4 malay students studying in Malaysian Institute Of Art. “KAMI” thought him a lot about street art. He carried on his career by creating his own character called ‘SNOZZE’. SNOZZE is derived from the English word ‘SNOOZE’ which he then change the letter ‘O’ to double ‘Z’s to form “SNOZZE”. After a year and a help in the graffiti scene, he got an offer to cross over with Nike to create the Nike Bearbrick Windrunner Jacket.

He was inspired by his idol such as They, The Killer Gerbil, The Police London, Flying Fortness, Shieko and Ma’Claim. They all are professional graffiti artist of their countries. They from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Germany.

His next mission, to create street art in Malaysia as well as abroad. At the moment, he is still planning to create graffiti art parts of Asia including big countries such as Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia. He wants to meet with several world known graffiti artist, to share ideas and experiences.
